LOOKING FOR A NEW CHALLENGE IN 2009?
2 MARATHONS IN 24 HOURS
2 STAGES – 26.2 MILES x 2 The event will see competitors cover two marathons in 24 hours. The first is on the Friday evening, to make sure all competitors get to test their night navigation skills. The second, the following morning, will take competitors back in the opposite direction. This is a great social event, and an ideal opportunity to prepare yourself for RAW Britain.
The Night Day Marathon is an off-road marathon within a one day period. Competitors run the first 26.2 mile Marathon off road starting at 6pm on Friday evening with the target of being finished by midnight.
The second Marathon over the same course, only in a reverse direction starts at 6am making the 52.4 miles a very achievable target within the 24 hour period. |
UK ULTRA RUNNING SERIES
The Night Day Marathon is part of Ambition Events’ “UK Ultra Running Series”.
UK Ultra Running" is a unique series of Ultra Marathons which have been gaining popularity over the last few years. Raced by individuals who seek to achieve higher goals, take on unique challenges and find new mountains to climb.
This series of UK based ultra challenges has started to attract a large number of athletes from all around Europe, interested in competing through some of the most beautiful countryside which Britain has to offer. Beauty aside, competitors can be assured of a challenge which is different, inimitable, requiring new found depths of self confidence and resolute persistence as they battle against whatever the elements decide to throw at them. |
